Rising Minds Benefits Show - Friday, April 16th, 2010 7 pm to 10 pm "Music can help people thousands of miles away no matter if they can hear it or not," he said. "With music, everyone can come together and celebrate regardless of what they're celebrating." As the president of the university's Performance Club and a volunteer at Rising Minds, a local non-profit which through education outreach tries to bridge cultural, economical and developmental gaps worldwide, Beetler was interested in merging the two for a common cause. The result became a benefit concert at the Eggroll Café in Lowell.
Michael Baier's Photo Gallery - Friday, February 12th, 2010 7 pm to 10 pm On Friday, February 12th, 2010, Michael Baier will be showcasing his collection of photographic work. Each of the images are individually striking, colorfully vibrant and almost surreal; some captures are adventurous, some are serene, while a few exhibit a subtle lurking eeriness. Michael's gallery is sure to hold your eye and intrigue your mind. Open Mic will commence at 8 pm and there will be live performances by several local artists.
FotoFrenzy '09 Show - Friday, December 18th, 2009 7 pm to Midnight This year's annual FotoFrenzy exhibition will be held at Eggroll Cafe. On Friday, December 18th, 2009, 20 plus artists from Friends of Photography will be showcasing their work. The event will start from 7 pm to midnight. There will be a live jazz band, silent auction and raffle drawing.
18th, April 2009 - Kate Chadbourne Irish American harpist and singer Kate Chadbourne will be performing songs from her latest release "The Irishy Girl" from 6:30 PM-7:30 PM on April 18th at the Eggroll Cafe, 110 University Avenue, Lowell, Massachusetts, at the Opening Reception of The Celtic Art of Arthur W. Ketchen. The Irishy Girl is a collection of time honored traditional songs from both Celtic tradition and from great writer/singers like Frank Harte such as the "Song of the Seals," Fear a Bhata," "Henry Joy," and "The Flowers of Magherally," where she combines recognizeable tradition with powerful fresh interpretation. Kate Chadbourne who holds a PHD in Celtic from Harvard University and who teaches there, is well known local musical artist whose work is highly regarded in the Celtic musical scene in the greater Boston area.
18th, April 2009 - Arthur W. Ketchen Painter, calligrapher, printmaker Arthur W. Ketchen will exhibit paintings at Eggroll Cafe, 110 University Avenue, Lowell, Massachusetts, from April 3-30. There will be an Opening from 6 PM-8 PM on April 18th. An example of Arthur W. Ketchen's work with ancient themes: The Hanter Dro series is based upon a combination of square pattern motifs combined with a tight interlace that correlates to a hanter dro-a Breton dance where the participants are very closely linked when they join hands. Distinghuished Irish American harpist and singer Kate Chadbourne will be giving a feature performance.
6th, March 2009 - Giovanna Aviles On Friday, March 6th, 2009, from 8pm-10pm, photographic artist Giovanna Aviles will be exhibiting her collection entitled "Searching." The reception will be featuring jazz band Moving Forward.
6th, February 2009 - Curran Kelleher I'm infinitely grateful that I had the opportunity to live abroad for a year. I saw so much, and I learned a lot. I was humbled by learning German and being forced to adapt - to bag my own groceries, to be served coffee in mugs rather than paper cups, to use public transportation all the time, and to try to fit into society as a stranger in a strange land. I was awed by the beauty of Europe, and the cultural differences - the way people actually live day to day - which had before only been distant and irrelevant to my American life.

My belief is that there is a truth in each photograph I take, be it of a person, place, or thing. 17th, October 2008 - Dawei Ye - Streets Dawei is a consultant works for a bank. While his job keeps him at the computers most of the time, he tries to find himself more in the photography. Dawei focuses his photography on the streets, especially in Boston, where he lives. He captures the rhythm on the streets, freeze the moments and make them forever. Eggroll Cafe will have a beer tasting during the Alicia Carlson Photo Exhibit.
16th, August 2008 - Alicia Carlson - Cape Cod On Saturday August 16th, 2008, Alicia Carlson will be exhibiting her photographs of the undeveloped beach areas of Race Point beach in Cape Cod. Alicia also gives you a closer look at the peaceful sunsets by the beach shore. Alicia's photos display an ultimate sensation of undisturbed serenity. Eggroll Cafe will have a wine tasting during the Alicia Carlson Photo Exhibit.
27th, June 2008 - David Kelliher-Images of China David Kelliher will be showcasing his photographs of a 2002 visit to China, celebrating the shapes, colors and patterns found in Beijing , Shanghai, Xi'an, and Guilin. This China collection include photographs of the Great Wall, the Terracotta Army, and other exquisite images that are currently displayed on the walls of the Eggroll Cafe.
15th, May 2008 - FotoFrenzy by the Lowell Friends of Photography The Foto Frenzy is a benefit show to help the group continue to grow and spread their arms. The support from the show will help them to do this, as well as gain exposure for the artists and their careers. The event, curated by Missy Farmer, will showcase the work of many members of the group; the walls of the café are loaded with images of life through the eyes of the photographers.
29th, November 2007 - Shanti Jain Closing Reception The striking photographs taken by Jain, a local artist, have lined the walls of the café for weeks. The photos turn emotion into something visual, illustrating its power and strength within the human race. In these portraits, the artist has stripped the subjects of their materialistic coverings, and replaced them with one element that makes them feel safe once again. Jain’s eye for what makes people unique and beautiful is widely apparent in these photos.

September 2007 -Blue Moose and the Unbuttoned Zippers The Eggroll Café will celebrate the work of artist Timothy Kadish with an opening reception to be scheduled in September with performance by local band Blue Moose and the Unbuttoned Zippers. BMUZ will lead the festivities with their unique sound that combines Swedish and Old Time Appalachian folk music. 30th, March 2007 -Mark Eshbaugh Eshbaugh’s inspiring paintings have lined the walls of the café for several weeks, bringing a unique spirit to the atmosphere. The beauty of the pieces is what initially strikes the observer at first glance. Upon further observation, one notices subtle shapes and images within the beautiful painting.
7th, March 2007 -Mothers of Rock The Eggroll Café is sponsoring the annual Mothers of Rock concert, to be held Wednesday, March 7 at 7:30. The show, a tribute to women in music, is a charitable event. Half of the proceeds from the night will go to Girls Inc. of Greater Lowell.
